OUR STORY…

My name is DaMel M. Williamson…

I am a Brooklyn native by way of Brownsville and I was raised by a woman who loved to cook. In fact, food was a passion on both sides of the family. While I didn’t enjoy being trained as a sous chef from young I have to admit things have a way of coming full circle.

As I grew older

“Seafood Night” became a staple for my family and friends. Every Friday night, we’d go big! We'd get all types of seafood, a few decks of cards, some played pitty-pat, some played uno, the fellas played cee-lo and some didn’t play anything but ate everything. More than just a food of luxury, seafood offers a very high source of protein. It's also low in saturated fat, total fat & calories and one of the things that gravitated me to it was its healthy benefits.

In my culture, we suffer from certain things that “seem” inevitable such as heart attacks, obesity, hypertension and strokes. On top of that I am a disabled war veteran and my disability is very rare. I was born with “Hereditary Neuropathy with Liabilities to Pressure  Palsies “HNPP” and after a certain year and point in time the neurologist didn’t even have an answer for me because they didn’t know themselves…

THAT was when I took control of my life and left the doctors alone to deal with the more “common cases” they face. Though they might be great doctors within their profession-they are not God so I’ve always chose to take a consciously clean approach as it pertains to my daily consumption because as the old saying goes.. You are what you eat.

It’s no secret that I love to eat and all who know me will agree so it was important to figure out how & what to eat.. I believe if we could just take a cleaner approach to what we ingest while supporting our body in rejecting things that it knows isn’t healthy for us we will literally change our body’s chemistry.. It was in the military where I learned to pay even more attention to what my body needs.

I honorably served 7 years and 10 months in the United States Marine Corps. However, in 2007 after coming back from serving in the Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) & Operation Enduring Freedom(OEF) wars I could not get hired for any job so I chose to go back to school for hazardous materials: asbestos, lead based paint, fungus, mold, confined space and air born pathogens and I just so happen to stumble across general street vending and mobile food vending at the same exact time.

.. When I think of bringing people together I envision *huge spaces outdoors, street art, vendors, dope music, bomb weather, Live bands, physical games, outdoor movie at night, culture and most importantly: FOOD‼️

Vending at concerts, street festivals, inaugurations, Woman Thou art loosed conference, 50th anniversary for MLK, hair shows, BLM movements and all parades and MANY more since 2007 summer equipped me with everything I needed to follow my dream of owning a mobile food truck.

With your support, next year in 2022 I will be waking Brooklyn up with some outdoor events where everyone will be welcomed while I work on *MY OWN* outdoor-traveling music & arts festival which consists of:

Food/Merchandise/Art Vendors, kids corner(NO grown-ups allowed, fun physical games, Movie when the sun sets and MUCH more ending off with a concert.

Brooklyn Please enjoy yourself and stay conscious of distance between one another while you are partying indoors where It’s crowded, muggy and uncomfortable.

Let’s grind this winter out and prepare for 2022 summer because…..

“WE OUTSIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDE”‼️
